Narrandera gears up for Golden Boot

Golden Boot touch football carnival players and organisers are looking forward to converging on Narrandera next week for the 2023 Golden Boot carnival ... it has been run on and off since the late 1980s and for the past 11 years has been conducted as a fund-raising event ... The first of the auction items for this year’s Golden Boot was this artwork completed by Narrandera local Mark Flack, who is a close friend of [the late Samantha Willams’s] family ...

Kaniva Presbyterian Church was blessed to have a visit from Mobile Ministry Maintenance group. This group is made up of retired Christians with many qualifications to do volunteer renovations on Church properties, campsites etc.

Charity run brings more hope

The Flying Doctor’s Charleville team celebrates 80 years of life-saving services

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) (Queensland Section) is marking the momentous 80-year anniversary of its Charleville Base this October. Established in 1943, the Charleville Base services a waiting room of more than 622,000 square kilometres, connecting the residents of this significant South-West Queensland region to leading, and often lifesaving, health services ... Thanks to overwhelming support from the communities it serves, West Wimmera Health Service has unveiled and commenced using its new X-Ray machine. The new digital X-Ray machine offers shorter exposure times, more accurate imaging, faster examination times, and reduced radiation dose.

Nhill Coast Busters Coastrek success

Congratulations to Nhill Coastbusters Sarah White, Meg Hall, Holly Beattie and Emily Gladdis, who took on the challenge of the Coastrek 35 km on Friday at the Fleurieu Peninsula. The team finished the trek in 9 hours and 47 minutes ... Nhill Coast Busters finished as the No 1 team Fundraiser for the 35km event.
