A group of around two dozen young people from Darwin and Mareeba visited Tennant Creek this week, as part of the STORMCo initiative by the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Despite their holidays, these young people volunteered their time to assist the community in Tennant Creek.
While the adult helpers set up a pop-up Op Shop to distribute free clothing, the young volunteers set up in Peko Park.
They provided entertainment for the locals and even served lunch to help cope with the boredom during the school holidays.
We hope that these young volunteers enjoyed their time in Tennant as much as the locals did having them there.
