FutureAg 2025 wraps up, cementing its place as Australia’s international hub for agricultural machinery and future farming

The 2025 FutureAg powered by AGRITECHNICA has been hailed a huge success, with hundreds of people streaming through the gates of the Melbourne Showgrounds across the three-day exhibition and conference. Bringing together 138 exhibitors from 11 different countries, 69 speakers and over 2,500 visitors … the event proved a powerhouse of innovation, insight and connection.

National lamb price nudges $480/head for new record as drought tightens supply

A pen of 55 second-cross lambs sold to $479.50/head at Griffith, but agents say this still may not be the top of the market. The lamb price has been slowly climbing, with records nearly a weekly occurrence at saleyards across the country since late May.

Indigenous Games – Bridging the Gap

Yanco Agricultural High School Year 10 PASS students travelled eight hours north to the small remote town of Goodooga to take part in their annual Indigenous Games. The event embraces the theme of Bridging the Gap – creating connections between city and rural communities, Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people, and the young and the old. It is a day dedicated to celebrating culture and fostering social harmony.

Tom Lee to be honoured at final Narrandera race meeting for season

It is very appropriate that the Narrandera Race Club Community race meeting on Saturday is sponsored by the Narrandera Ex-servicemans Club and named the TC Lee OAM Memorial meeting ... The Lee racing heritage has continued on with his wife Gwen an ongoing active supporter and this year his granddaughter Cassie Jess did an outstanding job with organising and coordinating the club's Fashions extravaganza on Cup Day.

Stop work order issued for Toorale National Park

A stop work order has been issued covering operation of the Boera Dam river regulator in Toorale National Park following an extensive investigation by the Natural Resources Access Regulator (NRAR). Chief Regulatory Officer Grant Barnes said NRAR issued the order yesterday (Wednesday, August 6) because the operation of certain water infrastructure allegedly did not fully account for water use, as required by the Water Management Act.
