Charlton College tops regional high schools
Charlton College has been listed as the top regional school for Victoria in the “Herald Sun” newspaper’s Top 100 Public High Schools, having ranked eighth in the whole state. Each year, "The Herald Sun" publishes its "Top 100 Public High Schools" list, a ranking that has gained considerable attention among students, parents, and educators in Victoria.

Copper Coast Show: vibrant and community driven
Copper Coast Show chair Natasha Westbrook says the 2025 event was one of the most vibrant and community-driven the committee has seen in years, with record crowds, incredible participation, and all run by volunteers. The show was held over the weekend, August 16 and 17, and the Schools Livestock Day on Friday, August 15, had seven schools and 135 students participating with cattle, goats and sheep.

Harristown State High School student Xavier Robertson has just returned from a successful tour to China where he represented Australia in an under 13 Years Futsal Team against other Asian teams. Xavier, a former Bunker's Hill student, joined the Australian Futsal Association (AFA) team for its international tour to China, which played in two separate tournaments and after eight games remained undefeated.
Indigenous Games – Bridging the Gap
Yanco Agricultural High School Year 10 PASS students travelled eight hours north to the small remote town of Goodooga to take part in their annual Indigenous Games. The event embraces the theme of Bridging the Gap – creating connections between city and rural communities, Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people, and the young and the old. It is a day dedicated to celebrating culture and fostering social harmony.
