Services are now being provided from Wilcannia’s Health and Wellbeing Centre in Bonney St, off Ross Street, following a move to the new facility over the past three days ... Services provided at the Wilcannia Health and Wellbeing Centre will be the same as those provided at the previous health service.

Residents post concerns amidst ongoing crime in the Clarence Valley
Social media is continuing to experience a rising trend in the number of users reporting crimes and suspicious behaviour. Across the Clarence Valley, residents are regularly posting CCTV footage and photos taken by private security cameras which predominantly feature alleged attempted break-ins (vehicles and properties) and antisocial behaviour online to notify and warn neighbours in surrounding areas.
No new paramedics for Clarence

Murray–Darling Basin Authority communique, February 2024
The Authority met with the Hon Tanya Plibersek Minister for the Environment and Water, to discuss Basin issues. The Authority noted the Minister’s announcement of 30 January 2024 launching new programs to deliver the Basin Plan in full. Farmer’s transmission fight taken to NSW parliament: Anderson
Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson has used his time in Parliament this week to renew his push for high voltage transmission lines to be moved off private land holdings ... “Farmers in the Tamworth electorate are strongly opposed to the construction of 200ft high transmission towers on their land, and it’s causing significant angst for families in the Dungowan and Limbri areas,” Mr Anderson said.

NSW farmers and politicians have been lied to about the state of South Australia’s Lower Lakes, with Independent Member for Murray, Helen Dalton, calling on NSW Premier Chris Minns to visit the area immediately. "We have all been conned and it must stop," Ms Dalton said.
Rex flights suspension to continue
Regional Express Airlines will prolong the suspension of some of its flights for another seven months, blaming sustained supply chain challenges. Rex cut flights on seven of its NSW routes in September including from Sydney to Albury, Coffs Harbour, Griffith, Narrandera, Orange, Parkes and Port Macquarie.
VMO blow – hospital setback as Dr contract goes unawarded
A recent tender by Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) for the provision of medical services at Barham Hospital has gone unawarded, with MLHD stating, “This tender process has now been completed and, as a result, it is not sustainable to continue the provision of medical services in their current format.”
