At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, 105 years ago, armistice was declared that ended World War I.
The tradition of Remembrance Day grew out of this armistice and is commemorated mostly in Commonwealth countries, but also in countries including France, Belgium and Poland.

On Saturday morning at the RSL Club, Tennant Creek commemorated the sacrifice of the servicemen and women who served and continue to serve in various theatres worldwide.
The service was well attended, with many staying afterwards to enjoy the hospitality of the RSL and raise a glass to those who served our country so well.
