Strengthening Hindmarsh Holiday Parks

Recent stories

In September 2024, Hindmarsh Shire Council resumed management of the Nhill Holiday Park, bringing operation of all four parks across the Shire back in-house, as well as Four Mile Beach Camping area. This marks an exciting time to build on the solid foundation established at the parks over recent years.

Hindmarsh Holiday Parks play a crucial role in the Shire’s tourism and economic development strategy, driving increased visitation and longer stays in our region. Council is taking further steps to support and strengthen these parks by undertaking a review of operations and transitioning to a new structure with increased resources. Alongside ongoing investments in infrastructure improvements, the restructuring of park operations and expanding our team will enhance our capacity to deliver high-quality visitor experiences and maintain consistent standards across all four parks.

Hindmarsh Shire Council acknowledges the significant contributions of our Holiday Park teams in recent years to get these parks to their current standards and thanks them for their dedication to the parks and for providing excellent visitor experiences.

Currently, Hindmarsh Shire is recruiting for the Caretaker role at Dimboola and finalising the appointment of the Nhill Holiday Park Caretaker. Additionally, Team Leader Holiday Parks and a Bookings Officer position are open also for applications to further develop and support our parks. These two roles will work across all four parks to build flexibility and capacity as well as support our existing teams.
