Haydays under new management

Recent stories

Hay’s haven for senior citizens has gained two new people at the helm.

Martyn Quinn is to be the new Facility Manager of Haydays Retirement Hostel, with Kim Gibbs on board as the new Assistant Facility Manager (pictured).

Mr Quinn will be responsible for leading and managing staff, residents and the facility, and in a circular which was issued to the residents recently, it mentions his wealth of business management experience which will be highly valued.

Ms Gibbs will be responsible for the care and wellbeing of residents, aged care compliance, policies and procedures.

Ms Gibbs’ experience working for Hay Shire Council managing the aged care residents in the community’s needs will be a big asset in the role.

The team started their new roles on January 6.

Ms Debbie Jones, the previous Registered Nurse and Manager has resigned from the position.

To fill the need of a Registered Nurse as required by law, short term measures have been put in place.
