Yanchep line station – access maps released

Recent stories

Metronet has released maps showing the preferred access to the three stations on the Yanchep rail line.

A Metronet spokeswoman said preferred access to Yanchep station was along Marmion Ave and then via a new road called Botanical Blvd leading to parking facilities.

“Access to Eglinton station is off Pipidinny Rd from Marmion Ave, which will lead to station parking,’’ she said.

“Alkimos station can be accessed by turning off at Brindabella Pkwy from Marmion Ave, which will lead to the station car park.’’

Meanwhile, the June 18 Metronet newsletter said finishing works on the Yanchep line such as landscaping, reinstatement of paths, fencing walls and traffic barriers would continue until late 2024.

But continuous rail works, including out-of-hours and night works, within the rail corridor from Butler station to Yanchep station would continue until mid-2024.

A community fair will be held on Sunday, July 14 at the Yanchep station.

The family event will run from 10am to 3pm at Yanchep station with a wide range of activities – including a first look at the three stations, the public art and facilities.

There will be free activities for children including face painting, free sausage sizzle, doughnuts, fairy floss and Metronet show bags, a welcome to country, coffee van and a variety of food vans (cash or EFTPOS), a Metronet zone with activities and giveaways and community market stalls (cash or EFTPOS).
