Congratulations to our four juniors who made the NT Title A Main. A first for three of them it was a learning curve racing against some very experienced quick drivers.

Jamie, the more experienced of the four, fresh back from the Aussies knew he had a task ahead of him against some of the quicker drivers from the NT and interstate.

Jamie Jones showed early that the experience of the Aussies and Alice Springs track set him up for some good racing.

With a win and two seconds in the heats it was going to be an exciting final.

Jamie started out quick going into the first corner three wide with the two front runners.

Jamie kept washing up a bit high on the second corner but ended up bringing it home in fifth place.

Massive effort from him. Jamie loved the racing, catching up with mates and all those that came out to support them.

He is now preparing for Centralian Titles and then hoping to get to the SA Titles in four weeks.

Liam Butterworth found his groove and was happy with setting his fastest time in the A main.

Liam took away so many different learnings (like don’t hit the cone) but mainly to be consistent and how to dodge traffic.

He enjoyed racing and seeing all his race friends. Think he hoping to go SA Titles too (come on mum ‘n’ dad).

Connor Carse had fun and enjoyed himself and got to watch and learn a few things.

Connor found it quick on the outside line but learnt sometimes it was better to sit down low as that wall can hurt.

At the end he was tired and a bit battered from the wall but enjoyed meeting new friends and racing everyone.

Hamish Chmielewski went out with a determination to finish and what an effort.

He listened to advice from others, kept his line and didn’t panic when the more experienced quicker cars were going round. Hamish was proud to finish the title.

Hamish wants to thank his dad for everything he does.

One of the biggest highlights for all of them would have been to meet Anthony Beare, one of the best Speedway racers today.

Thanks to Arunga Park Speedway Official and P & V Panel Works for organising a great title and an opportunity to meet Anthony.

Tennant Creek, be proud of these four young blokes – they were all great sportsmen and represented Tennant Creek every minute. Can’t wait till Mayday.

Congratulations to Donny Davis on being NT Number One. Thank you Bec Thompson photography for some great photos.
