Allora stud breeders Steve Hayward and Kelly Smith have continued their run of success with a series of wins at the 2025 Ekka in Brisbane.
The success for their K5X Stud came with Black and Red Angus exhibits.
In the Angus Junior Heifer section 12-16 months, the Stud achieved a 2nd, while in the Junior Bull section 18-20 months K5X scored 1st place and went on to have Junior Champion Bull.
In the Senior Cow of Heifer category the Stud was awarded 1st for a Cow 36-60 months. In the Senior Bull section K5X was awarded 1st and 2nd for a bull 20-22 months and 1st for a bull 22-24 months. The Stud was awarded the ribbon for Reserve Champion Senior Bull. In the Red Angus competition K5X gained 1st place for a Junior Heifer 16-20 months, which was named Reserve Junior Champion. Steve Hayward and Kelly Smith gained a 1st for a Senior Bull 20-24 months then went on to take the title of Senior Champion Bull.
