A special confirmation service was held at St David’s Anglican Church on Sunday with Bishop Cam Venables attending.
Fifteen people were confirmed with the Bishop believing this may be very close to a record in the Anglican Church Southern Queensland Diocese!
These young people attended a six-week preparation course taught by Priest in Charge Rev Courtney Smith and Church Warden Linda Sharman-Bowman where they able to explore their faith and learn about being Christian with an Anglican focus.
Bishop Cam Venables of the Western Region presided over the special confirmation service and the parish turned out in great numbers.
These young people, from age 9 to 43 made a public commitment to turn to Jesus and follow his Way of Love. Over 100 people attended the combined parish service.
