Clifton Benchrest Shooters report

The Clifton Benchrest Shooting Club Inc. Shotgun was held on Sunday 14th. One of the best days for shooting so far this year for shotgun. Again, some good scores were achieved.

Senior Shotguns – Matt H 94 per cent, Russ P 76 per cent, Paul F 68 per cent.

Benchrest shoot was held on Sunday 21st April 2024.

Once again, the shooters were greeted with another very blustery day. The wind and drizzle did not let up at all and kept a few regulars away.

Men’s Open Rimfire – 1st Gary M 584.6, 2nd Jason E 577.9, 3rd Luke St 573.5.

Ladies Open Rimfire – 1st  Helen M with score of 569.3.

Unfortunately, due to the weather it kept a few lady shooters away.

Senior Factory Rimfire – 1st was Margaret S 549.21, 2nd was Tony B with 538.6, 3rd Vince A 513.6.

Factory Class is now using a 12-power scope instead of a six power.

Junior Rimfire – 1st Rebekah R 570.8, 2nd Amelia S 562.9, 3rd Cooper S 562.8.

Amelia and Cooper had fun trying to have the best scores between sister and brother.

Best cards for the day: Hunter class – Jason E 199.10 / 200.20.

RBA – Gary M 237.10 / 250.25.

Rabbit & Crow – Gary M 148.8 / 150.15.

No Centrefire was held as the weather was taking a turn for the worse with strong wind and rain.

Pistol competition was held on Saturday 13th April. 1st Vincent A 279, 2nd Ben D 212, 3rd Jeff K 147
