Grafton Rifle Club Grebert Shield

Saturday January 13, 11 shooters met at the 300-yard mound for the first stage of the Grebert Shield. Conditions were warm and sunny with a slight breeze from right. Three possibles were shot for the day with Wayne Pearson scoring a 50 with 5 in Hunter Class and Andrew Kattenhorn scoring 60 with 7 and Ian Hodgson 60 with 1 in F Standard. Scores were off rifle with no handicap in this first stage of the shield. Wayne Pearson took Hunter Class with 99 with 7 & Andrew Kattenhorn winning F Standard with 118 with 12. One of our Junior members Thomas Brady-Smith shot well in Hunter scoring 48 with 4 in his second round shooting a total of 9 centre bulls. Shooters will meet at the 400-yard mound next Saturday January 20 for the second stage of the Grebert Shield.
