Service personnel memorial garden for Goomburra

Goomburra Town Hall Committee, Allora Advertiser

The Goomburra Town Hall is inviting local families who may have family members who served for their country to donate a paver for the Memorial Garden. There are two Honour Boards in the hall and the committee are replicating these by developing a memorial garden with named pavers of service personnel.

The committee hopes that the memorial garden will enable the public to view the names of our local service personnel and pay their respects to those who served for not only our community but also our country. The garden will be established on the eastern side of the hall where the exit door is situated.

If you would like to participate in this project by donating a paver for a family member, please contact the Goomburra Town Hall by email or phone 0429 642 092. Information will be emailed to you. Offers close 30 October 2023.

This project was funded through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs and we thank them for this opportunity to show our respects to our service personnel.

We are also reopening the pavers for the playground paved area – so if you didn’t find time to donate a paver with your particulars on it at the Back to Goomburra Day 2021 – you now have the opportunity. If you would like to view the paved area, please come and visit the Goomburra Town Hall.

These projects support the development and improvement of the Goomburra Town Hall and provide opportunities for our community to grow and develop our iconic hall.
