From Yorke Peninsula roots to national recognition, Pit Stop Technologies brings proven IT and cybersecurity capability backed by experience, and people, you can rely on.
The Kadina-based business has been recognised on the national stage after being named the winner of the 2026 Australian Small Business Champion Awards Information Technology category.
The awards celebrate excellence across Australia’s small business sector, recognising organisations for their knowledge, service delivery and contribution to industry.
Pit Stop Technologies took out the category among a strong field of finalists including larger, metropolitan-based providers.
It’s a result that speaks to the strength of community business done well, and to what’s possible when a country team is given the chance to compete on the national stage.
Award judge Deborah Morandin said Pit Stop Technologies stood out in a competitive field.
“Every single application in each category is judged three times in a room filled with expert business judges. Pit Stop stood out against tough criteria and finalists,” she said.
Founded in Kadina over 10 years ago, Pit Stop Technologies has built its reputation on a people-first approach to IT and cybersecurity.
Rather than operating as a transactional provider, the team focuses on long-term partnerships, becoming an extension of the organisations they support, from local YP businesses through to clients across South Australia and beyond.
For Pit Stop Technologies founder Plato Lagoudakis, the win still feels a little surreal.
“Starting a business in a country town comes with its share of pressures and doubts,” he said.
“Being recognised on a national stage tells us we got it right, by staying true to who we are and where we’re from.”
With a deep understanding of the challenges rural organisations face, including resourcing, connectivity and supporting dispersed teams across multiple sites, Pit Stop has developed a practical, responsive service model designed to meet those needs.
It’s an approach now trusted by organisations from regional towns through to multi-site operations across the country.
The national recognition reflects more than technical capability. It’s a recognition of the people behind the work, a team committed to clear communication, reliable service, and genuine care in every client relationship.
For businesses, councils and not-for-profits looking for an IT partner who understands country realities and delivers metropolitan-level capability, Pit Stop Technologies offers a refreshing alternative, built right here, on the Peninsula.
People first. Regional by nature.
