Kaniva’s Windmill Cafe and Visitor Information Centre has officially reopened, unveiling a stunning transformation that blends modern outback style with enhanced visitor services.
The renovation and rebranding, led by Jemma Hill, have given the cafe a stylish new look, featuring a new shop layout, new kitchen, new tables and chairs, fresh paintwork, and atmospheric lighting. Accessibility has also been a key focus, with safer mezzanine access ensuring a more inclusive experience for all.
Visitors can now enjoy a refreshed menu, including freshly ground coffees and tea selections, vegetarian and gluten-free options, and homemade slices made on-site. The Kaniva Visitor Information Centre continues to provide essential services, offering brochures, a visitor touchscreen, along with an EV charging station, picnic tables, and accessible public toilets with baby change facilities.
Jemma and her team have worked hard to restore this vital community hub, ensuring Kaniva continues to offer face-to-face visitor services for those exploring the region.
The Windmill Cafe is located at 41 Commercial St, Kaniva, and is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 2:30 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm. Phone (03) 5314 9083.
