Filling up the car is more expensive than ever. Unleaded fuel prices across the country have risen with most seeing a litre of petrol going over $2.
In NSW today, Fuel Check listed the most expensive unleaded fuel was at Coles Express in Tweed Heads. The price per litre was $227.9.
And the cheapest? Today, Monday, October 9 was at Apex in Villawood, Sydney at $178.7 a litre.
Fuel Check showed that today [9 October 2023] was the cheapest day to buy petrol in the past seven days.
So, what are we paying at the pump for a litre of petrol?
- Coraki: $201.9
- Casino: $199.8–$205.9
- Evans Head: $210.9
- Woodenbong: $217.9
- Kyogle: $217.9
While petrol locally sits below the most expensive at Tweed Heads, Kyogle and Woodenbong residents are paying the most in this region.
The conflict in the Middle East is expected to push prices higher amid a global oil shortage.
