Familiar face returns to Tennant and CWA committee

Recent stories

There was a good turnout for the Country Women’s Association (CWA) AGM last Saturday with new members being welcomed and the return of a familiar face in the form of Bonnie Thompson who has returned to Tennant Creek.

Kathy Muir stood down as President due to family obligations, and for the time being first vice president Pene Curtis is acting President with support from the remaining executive, Marg Law as second vice president, Helen Kempe as Secretary and Jill Kleiner as Treasurer.

With a new committee in place, craft mornings have resumed on Sunday mornings from 10am until noon at the CWA Hall on Noble Street. If you have any UFOs (unfinished objects) or need some crafting advice, pop in and join the members for a cuppa and a chat.
