It’s full speed ahead for the 143rd Annual Carcoar Show on Saturday 29th October 2022.

Our schedule is out now and there is so much to look forward to in Carcoar on the last Saturday in October. So please cross your fingers for lots of sunny days between now and then!

After almost 3 years without a show we have a jam packed day planned for you all! We are beyond excited!

Here is a snippet of what we have planned:

8:00am
Yard Dog Trials begin – below Webby Reid Pavilion

9:00am
Horse Events – Rings 1, 2 & 3 commence

First sheep shorn by local George Connolly;
followed by Sports Shearing Competition

10:00am
Judging of Prime Lambs – in Webby Reid Pavilion

Horse Events – Rings 4 & 5 commence

Wood Chop begins – Ring 5

10.30am
Balancing Man Act

Pavilion Display opens – Digger Bright Pavilion

11.00am
Balancing Man Act

Bar opens – with beer and Angullong wines

At the Shearing Shed

11.15am
EM Dance Display – near Webby Reid Pavilion

11.45am
Opening of revamped shearing shed ( Webby Reid Pavilion) – by Deputy Premier Paul Toole MP

12 noon
Opening of the show – by RAS President Michael Millner (Webby Reid Pavillion)

Presentation of the Longest Gum Leaf Prizes

1.00pm
Balancing Man Act

Whip Crack Competition – near the wood chop followed by presentation of prizes

2.00pm
Dog High Jump – commences near the Flagpole

3.30pm
Shearing finals commence

All Day from 10.30am

  • display by Aust Draught Horse Stud Book Society, log snigging, chaff cutting etc – In Ring 5 and near the Ben Lowe Pavilion
  • Other Attractions
  • Antique Machinery Display
  • Active display of Horse drawn farm machinery (Near Ben Lowe Pavilion)
  • Petting Zoo for the children all day
  • Balancing Man – 10am, 11am & 1pm
  • Dog High Jump – 2pm
  • Live Music “Clancy Pye” at the Bar – 1.30 to 5.30pm

We also have well over 20 market stalls and plenty of food and drink stalls available on the day. These include:

BBQ Lunch

Carcoar Show Committee will also have their delicious BBQ Lunch served up to you by their hardworking team!

  • Ice cold soft drinks
  • Fresh tasty sandwiches, tea, coffee & cakes at the SANDWICH BAR
  • The Bar will also be open 11am to 6pm to quench that Show Day thirst!!!

Home Products

We also have all the usual flowers, craft, art, photography and home products categories for you to enter your beautiful and unique creations for display in the Pavilion and for judging and ribbons.

The 2022 Carcoar Show Feature Recipe is Pear, Walnut & Nutmeg Cake. From “In Good Company” by Sophie Hansen, p158; Murdoch Books RRP $39.99.

The recipe will be in the program for those who wish to enter.

We have adult and childrens home products, art, flowers, craft, school and photography sections which are all in our show schedule. We also have our Colouring-in competition for the kids. This year Tracey Mackie local artist from Lyndhurst has donated her time to put together the Colouring in comp piece for the kiddies.
