The SunSmart WA Bodyboard Titles presented by Good Earth Surf concluded in spectacular fashion at Clayton’s Beach in Mindarie over the weekend, with WA's first State Champions of the year crowned in exciting high-performance bodyboard waves. After beginning in Mandurah back in March, the SunSmart WA Bodyboard Titles attracted some of the State's most experienced riders who went head-to-head with WA's new generation of bodyboarders, who impressed in the wedging 2-3 feet waves on offer at Clayton's.
Hockey tournament boosts local economy

It was a crazy few hours on Wednesday, May 26, when the Cohuna Kangas announced on its Facebook page that a person who attended their footy and netball matches on Saturday, May 22 had since tested positive for COVID-19. ... The town was sent into a flurry. Apart from the Kangas’ Facebook post, there was no official community-wide notification, and no official government announcement, leaving many wondering what was happening. The old bush telegraph was working at full capacity and social media was running wild.

Nicholas Rupolo. Barellan Two Blues are now in seventh place after a slim nine-point victory over Coleambally Blues in a drama filled game during round eight of the Farrer League. The Two Blues defeated Coleambally 32-23 away from home for just their second win of the season despite the game being called off in the third quarter.

Just over two years ago, the Lower Clarence man was an apprentice motorcycle mechanic learning his trade in Sydney. Following that unexpected phone call, Pritchett ended up touring Tasmania with five other bikers and starring in the film Wide of the Mark.

Head Coach Lawder was absolutely thrilled with the performance and lauded his sides perseverance after four winless weeks. “It does feel good to get the monkey off the back,” Lawder said.

Narrandera could potentially become the centre in the Riverina for cycling enthusiasts with a $600,000 Rocky Waterholes Mountain Bike Park mooted. The idea was conceived by the Mountain Bike Trail Narrandera Group whose members want to see the informal trails in the Rocky Waterholes hill transformed into a formal mountain bike trail.
30th Noosa Festival of Surf
The thirtieth Noosa Festival of Surf is being held between 15th and 23rd May. The festival organisers expect up to 400 competitors – one of the biggest turnouts in the event’s history and with eleven different age divisions, six open divisions, a team challenge, family challenge, standup paddleboard surfing, and the crowd-pleasing dog surfing championships, the event promises to be one of the most exciting yet.
Kiama Downs dominates first round of IRB series
The first IRB (Inflatable Rescue Boat) racing event in two years kicked off in perfect conditions at Terrigal over the weekend. Over 300 surf lifesavers from 17 clubs travelled to the Central Coast location for the first round of the 2021 Sharkskin NSW IRB Premiership Series.

7 Rocky River Run kicks off this Sunday at 6.00am with the half marathon, followed by the 10km, 5km, and 2km races ... “The 7 Rocky River Run has become one of the must-do events in Queensland’s running calendar, and we’re expecting thousands of people to come out to join in on a race or cheer on participants,” said Rockhampton Mayor Williams.
