Joanna Tucker. Self-taught Wallaroo artist Debbie Seater has her art projected on the iconic Karoonda Silos in the Murray Mallee for all of January. Her eleven artworks have been created in multiple mediums —which is not uncommon for Ms Seater.

Sarah Herrmann. An exhibition featuring works by two Narungga artists has been recognised with a statewide award. Saltbush Country, a Country Arts SA curation of seven regional Indigenous artists’ works, won the Outstanding Regional Event or Project ... Narungga sisters Deanna Newchurch and Lynette Newchurch worked together to create a major element of the exhibition — a possum-skin cloak thought to be the first of its kind made in more than 100 years.

Karen Welsh. The Nimbin Diversity exhibition, held at the invitation of the Gunnedah Bicentennial Regional Gallery, has been a new and interesting experience for both the Nimbin Artists Gallery and many of our local artists. Gunnedah could be considered to have many different values to our local region – a hot dry climate, large monoculture agriculture and a vast coal mining industry across the scenic Liverpool Plains.

Tweed Regional Museum is excited to announce the launch of its latest exhibition, How to Draw a Dinosaur, an innovative fusion of science and art bringing the captivating world of dinosaurs to life. The exhibition celebrates the creativity and collaboration that help us imagine and understand the dinosaurs that roamed the Earth millions of years ago.  

Artworks produced by inmates at the Clarence Correctional Centre (CCC) are currently on display as part of an exhibition entitled Clarence Gets Creative at the Casino Art Gallery. The unique event, created in partnership between SERCO and the art gallery, provides a platform for inmates to showcase their artistic talents.

An immersive exhibition which plumbs the depths of the rich surfing culture on the Mid North Coast will open to fanfare at Coffs Harbour tomorrow.  Swell Chasers: Surf Stories from the Mid North Coast  sprawls across three galleries at the City of Coffs Harbour’s Yarrila Arts and Museum (YAM) from 23 November to 2 February.

Over the Melbourne Cup Weekend the Birchip Community Leisure Centre was transformed into a vibrant gallery space, featuring an impressive range of two hundred and twenty pieces of artwork and sculptures from almost sixty artists from around Australia. The biennial event brought together the Birchip P-12 school community, residents, ex-residents, families, artists and visitors…

...Windmill Stitchers of Kaniva held their 11th Biennial Exhibition in the Kaniva Shire Hall ... The Stitchers first held an exhibition 20 years ago in 2004. Over the two days of the exhibition, people came from all over the district, surrounding towns and further afield, along with several travellers, to admire the beautiful quilts on display...

Shades of Gray is a magical, metal garden wonderland that is only open for a few weeks each year ... at the intersection of Farnsworth and Brown Streets in Castlemaine … a detailed and quirky ‘Chook House’ filled to the rafters (literally) with metal chickens. “This will break the internet!” he laughed, posing beside Romeo the rooster.

The winners were announced at the Coraki Art Prize Gala Night at the Coraki Youth Hall ... Organiser Tanya Alderman said there were more than 100 youth entries. Best in Show went to Hollie McKenzie from Whian Whian for her artwork  I Feel Alive but Can’t Complain. She won $2000 sponsored by Casino RSM Club.

Kareen Anchen. “For me, once a painter, always a painter”. Like many painters, Chris has had to find her own way and has spent a lifetime doing so; we are much richer for her endeavour. Roadside Impressions is an immersive survey exhibition from 2003 – 2015. On exhibition are meditative landscape paintings by Chris Delpratt.

Percy Leason’s iconic cartoon ‘Off to the Show, or The Man They Left Behind Them’ graces the cover of this year’s Kaniva Show schedule.
