The countdown is on for the Lowan Art Prize Competition, with entries closing on March 28. Interest in the event has been overwhelming, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!
The Official Opening will take place at 2 PM on Sunday, April 13, where winners of each section will be announced. Guests can enjoy drinks and nibbles, and all artworks will be available for sale.
A huge thank you to GrainCorp, which has come on board as a major sponsor. Their generous support is making this competition possible, helping us bring it to the public as a meaningful and exciting event. Other local businesses have also contributed to the prize pool, and their names will be announced soon. If you’d like to join our sponsorship board, we’d love to hear from you!
Recently, the gallery hosted the Ice Pact exhibition, presented by Jörg Metz, a former laboratory manager at Casey Station, Antarctica. Through various art forms, the exhibition highlighted the world’s longest-standing peace treaty. Metz also spoke at service clubs and St Patrick’s School, where students had the chance to engage with the exhibition firsthand.
A big thank you to our dedicated volunteers, whose time and generosity make everything we do possible.
Be sure to mark the Lowan Art Prize Competition on your must-visit list when it opens—we can’t wait to share it with you!
