Exhibition closes this Saturday

Narrandera Camera Club has kicked off again week with interest growing following its successful photo exhibition “Our Patch in Focus” at the Leeton Museum and Art Gallery.

The exhibition began in September last year but has been extended due to keen interest.

The display showcases 135 beautiful photos by the club’s photographers capturing the essence of the Riverina.

It comprises some of the members’ best photographs of local scenery, people, activities and wildlife.

The exhibition closes this Saturday, February 8 so there is still time to see it if you are quick.

Narrandera local photographers Simonne LeLievre, Nella Smith, Sue Ruffles, Garry and Brigitte Stanton, Ozzi Fikri and Mary-Anne Lattimore all exhibited some of their best photographs along with other club members from Leeton, Whitton and Ardlethan.

The Art Gallery (in the old Water Resources building, Leeton) is open Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 3pm.

To finish the exhibition the club is offering the photos to the public for purchase at a discounted rate. Proceeds will assist the club in recovering the exhibition set-up costs.

The Narrandera Camera Club meets monthly on the first Wednesday of the month at the Senior Citizens’ room in Jonsen St, Narrandera at 7.30pm.

It draws people from the Narrandera as well as includes members from Leeton, Whitton and Ardlethan. The Club members meet each month to share their work and to learn new skills and ideas to improve their technique. New members are welcome, regardless of their skills and experience.
