a highly anticipated project in Donald’s industrial estate is nearing completion, with the new factory for Kooka’s Country Cookies entering a transitional phase between the old location and the new.
The impressive facility has been under construction since 2021, with international specialists engaged to install equipment along the production line. It is now operational, with staff conducting trials and tests to ensure everything runs smoothly ahead of full-scale production.
The beautiful shopfront and display room is already open to the public for sales; however, an official factory opening is not expected until the packaging component of the production line is fully operational, which is anticipated within the next few months.
Thanks must go to the many residents of the district who have supported the project since its inception and helped bring this significant investment to fruition.
Along with the giant kookaburra marking the site of the new factory, Kooka’s is making a strong and visible contribution to Donald, enhancing both the town’s appearance and supporting its ongoing growth and prosperity.
This marks a major milestone for the town of Donald and its iconic Kooka’s Country Cookies. The new facility will not only increase production of its popular range of cookies, but also create additional jobs and deliver a valuable boost to the local economy.
