The Nhill Cemetery flags project

Recent stories

The flag committee comprising of members of Nhill RSL Sub Branch, The Lowan Lodge 107, Nhill Rotary Club INC and Lions Club of Nhill INC have added an additional 100 flags in the Nhill cemetery to honour the veterans who have served our community. 207 were erected between ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day 2024. This brings the total to over 300 flags within the cemetery.

Please remember this is an ongoing project and we do require family members to advise of unmarked servicemen and women in the cemetery so we can ensure they are honoured.

We also have found that in the Lutheran section of the cemetery quite difficult to find servicemen and women so any leads we would be grateful.

Donations to this project would be greatly appreciated to ensure we can continue our efforts. Email nhill.rslsubbranch@gmail.com for more information.

Nhill Historical Society held a successful Nhill cemetery walk on Sunday, with over 30 in attendance. If you missed out come along Sunday 4th May.
