Visitors to the Nhill Aviation Heritage Centre

Recent stories

Volunteers have been kept busy at the Nhill Aviation Heritage Centre (NAHC). Last weekend they hosted 30 members of the Ballarat and Geelong MG Car Club, along with other visitors from Western Australia, New South Wales and Tasmania.

During the week members of the NAHC Board entertained the Governor of Victoria, Her Excellency Professor Margaret Gardner AC and her entourage. A gold medallion, presented by the Governor as a memento of her visit, is now on display at the NAHC. Other groups from Jeparit and Minyip will visit the Heritage Centre this week, and more are booked for the coming few weeks.

Numbers of visitors vary from day to day, but volunteers can always be sure of meeting people from all corners of the country and hearing lots of interesting stories. If you would like to join the NAHC volunteer team please contact Rob Lynch on 0428 911 387 or Jenny Creek on 0417 014 278. You don’t need to be a pilot or have any background in aviation. You just need to be willing to spend a day a month, working with another volunteer, to host visitors at one of Nhill’s top tourist attractions.

The NAHC is open every weekend from 10am – 4pm and at other times by appointment.
