The National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA) has established its new home in the former Westpac Bank building in Tennant Creek, which opened last Friday.
The agency works in partnership with First Nations communities to enable their self-determination and aspirations, ensuring they have a say in the decisions that affect them.
As part of the opening event, attendees voted on regional artworks on display, with the aim of purchasing the most popular ones to be displayed in the new office space.
Jody Broun, the National NIAA CEO, attended the opening and expressed her optimism for the future of the Barkly region and the role the NIAA office can play in it.
