From the Australian Street Art Awards – an Australia-wide organisation established in 2018 – comes the following message:
“We have a surprise! Making good on our promise that size really does matter, we are announcing three extra awards this evening – for Best Small Town Street Art Festival or Event.
“The Bronze winner of the Best Small Town Festival or Event goes to… Mali Heart Street Art Festival in Birchip, Buloke Shire, in the Visit Wimmera Mallee region of Victoria.
“Starting in 2022, the Festival has featured standout murals by renowned artists that resonate with the local region – farming heritage, crops, sheep and cattle, working dogs, and Holden utes, plus endangered and endemic flora and fauna that depicts Birchip’s biodiversity.
“Artists included Heesco, KASPER / Blender Studios, Adrian Doyle, Hayden Dewar Artist.
“Congratulations to everyone involved.”
