The Binda Picnic Races are a cherished annual country picnic race meet held in the charming town of Binda, New South Wales. These races have a rich history, dating back to 1848, making them a significant tradition in the region.

• Location: The races take place at the Funny Hill Racecourse in Binda.

• Legacy: Racing at Binda has continued for over a century, with bookmakers fielding bets on local races with up to 2000 racegoers enjoying the excitement of the track.
• This year’s Races are scheduled for the 9th March at ‘Funny Hill’ Binda which is approximately 1km north of Binda and 20km north of the township of Crookwell.
• Tickets for general entry and tent sites (BYO Tent) are available from 123 Tix. Entry is $30.00 and $120.00 for tent sites.
• This event is BYO alcohol. Strictly no glass rules apply.
• Crookwell Public School will be conducting a BBQ and selling grazing boxes (which can be pre-ordered) together with soft drinks.
• There are six races with the first commencing at 12.30 and the last race at 4.45pm
