Horsham Arts Council’s upcoming production of American Idiot is sure to be a crowd-pleaser with a look back into the angst of the early 2000s in America.
This rock opera is based on band Green Day’s popular album, American Idiot. The story follows Johnny and his buddies, Will and Tunny, as their lives take three distinctive paths. The show touches on many sensitive topics, ranging from youth angst, love, relationships, and loss, and contains adult themes.
Nhill’s Stephanie Lynch appears as a part of the ensemble, and she feels it is important to depict and embrace these themes as a way of opening up conversations and representing the realities that many people face.
The cast includes six backing vocalists (including Nhill’s Simon Dufty) and a five-piece band, which lifts the performance to new heights. American Idiot will be showing at the Horsham Town Hall for five performances only, from October 12-15. Get your tickets on the Horsham Town Hall website or from the Box Office.
