Daughter’s selfless act to aid mum’s cancer fight

Recent stories

A fundraiser organised by a loving daughter, Lara, aims to ease the financial strain of her mum’s fight against breast cancer.

Cancer is a battle no one wants to face, but when one is forced to, every bit of support matters. This is a sentiment deeply understood by Lara, whose mother, Tahnee Purchase, has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. In an act of selfless love, Lara has started a fundraiser to aid in covering the costs of a specially-made wig and other associated expenses.

Lara’s campaign has a personal and heartfelt touch, as she isn’t just raising funds but is also sacrificing her hair to provide her mother with a natural wig during the tough times ahead.

Tahnee is deeply moved by her daughter’s efforts and the kindness of the community. “My gorgeous daughter has cut her hair for me to get a wig made,” she shared. She also expressed her gratitude to the local salon, “Thank you to Charisma Hair for your kindness and giving your time to this. You truly are the best.”

The fundraising goes beyond covering the cost of the wig. It also aims to assist with travel, accommodation, and medical expenses that have come with Tahnee’s diagnosis. Every dollar raised will ease the burden of Tahnee’s fight against breast cancer.

Tahnee’s heartfelt thanks go out to all those who have shown their support in various ways. “I want to thank each and every person who has donated, sent messages, delivered shopping and food or just helped me feel a little bit normal during this not-so-nice time. I really appreciate you so much.”

Lara and Tahnee are deeply appreciative of the support they have received so far. “Thank you all so much for the support so far! It is appreciated more than we could put into words!” Lara exclaimed.

Together, let’s help turn a difficult journey into a communal show of love and strength.
