Website relaunch for Purple Starfish

Recent stories

Purple Starfish Kaniva re-launched its website this week. The website was originally created in 2002 and has undergone a few changes over the years. The new website features makers, volunteers and customers. It builds on the Visit Victoria campaign of supporting local artisans and makers with the ‘Meet the Maker’ stories of the creators behind the products.

The website aims to bring awareness of the large range of locally made products stocked by the shop whilst funnelling profits back into the local community. Products are divided into the three main categories of ‘Make, Bake, Grow’.

The website also allows people to find out about volunteering or selling their products through the shop. The website is responsive with mobile, tablet and PCs and is compatible with the Kaniva Visitor Information Centre touchscreen.

The site is important as many people are not on social media and this allows them to see the full range of services. The site links from the QR code, promoted via the brochure and from the Purple Starfish sheep at the Kaniva Wetlands and Fauna Park along with Google, Tripadvisor, Kaniva, Visit Wimmera Mallee, Visit Grampians and Visit Victoria.

The Purple Starfish website promotes local suppliers who make, bake and grow.
