The Copper Coast was alight with art and creativity over the weekend, as locals and visitors flocked to FLAME Festival events at Wallaroo, Kadina and Moonta.

A celebration of Food, Light, Art, Music and Entertainment, FLAME sparked into life on Friday, May 8, when 1000 people watched Winda the Owl soar above Wallaroo’s Sailing Club Beach.

Saturday, May 9, was centred on Grounds of Delight at the showgrounds in Kadina, culminating in fire dancing and fireworks.

The festival finale was Mayfair, a celebration of Mother’s Day in Moonta’s Queen Square on Sunday, May 10.

The biennial festival, held by Copper Coast Council, offered more than 50 events, performances, workshops and activations, with many held by local community groups and businesses.
