The Deniliquin Bowls Pairs Classic is a well-known annual lawn bowls tournament attracting players from all over Australia. Brody Harker of Barham Bowling Club teamed up with his cousin Ben McArthur from Ballarat. Harker and McArthur won their section and reached the first round of the knockout finals, but they were beaten by the eventual winners, Brad Orr and Mitch Sidebottom. Other players from Barham Bowling Club, including Mark Qour, Brian Mainsbridge, Paul Clear, and Rowdy Arthur, also took part.
Held on August 2-3, 2025, the 58th edition lived up to expectations. The format included sectional play with six teams in each section, with the winners advancing to the knockout rounds of six ends. The competition was intense: $8,000 for first place, $4,000 for second, and $1,500 for third and fourth. Last year’s champions, Mojo Gardner and Vinnie McIlwain, finished as the 2025 Runners-Up.
