Australian Beef Sustainability Framework (ABSF), Media Release, 11 June 2025

The Australian Beef Sustainability Framework (ABSF) is proud to host a Sustainability Showcase, where the latest research and development initiatives related to the ABSF priorities will be presented to the industry’s valued stakeholders.

This full-day event will include an in-depth presentation on the outcomes of the ABSF materiality assessment, which will inform the future priorities for industry sustainability reporting. Attendees will also hear from Sarah Strachan, General Manager – Research, Development and Adoption at Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA), who will outline how sustainability initiatives are embedded in MLA’s new Strategic Plan 2025–2030.

Further presentations throughout the day will highlight key activities and extension work that have delivered positive outcomes across the beef industry. These presentations will address the core themes of economic resilience, people and community, environmental stewardship, and best animal care.
