Bunyan wins BayWa Open

Winner of the 2024 BayWa Hay Men’s Open Championship was Ian Bunyan with a gross score of 79.

Runner-up was Peter Bisset with a gross score of 80. In B Grade Dane Doyle won with a gross score of 85 from Mark Pritchard with a gross score of 87.

In C Grade Henry Lacey from Coleambally won with a gross score of 91 from Allan Japp with a gross score of 93.

In the nett event Greg Crocker won A Grade with a nett 71 from Paul Pless with a nett 72.

John Perry won B Grade with a nett 74 from Noel Corliss with a nett 75.

In C Grade, Harley Hey won with a nett 72 from Michael Trotter from Hillston with a nett 74.

The Veterans nett event was won by Mark Pritchard with a nett 70.

The Long Drives – A Grade – Tom Lugsdin, B Grade – Dave Marshall & C Grade – Michael Trotter (Hillston), The Nearest the Pins, A Grade – Greg Crocker, B Grade – Brock Harvey (Hillston) and Henry Lacey (Coleambally).

Saturday’s 4BBB Stableford event was won by Neil Headon and Mark Pritchard in a countback with 44 points.

Runners-up were Greg Crocker and Dave Kerr with 44 points.

The ball winners were Allan Japp and Dick van Buuren – 43 Points and Eddie Redfern and Ian Bunyan – 42 points.

The novelty winners were Joanne Dean (Finley) – Jennings straight drive, Mark Pritchard – Fayle’s long putt on 2, John Perry – Fayle’s long putt on 18, John Perry – long putt on 10, Neil Headon – Money ball on 7, Dave Kerr – South Hay Hotel nearest the pin on 9, Dave Kerr – nearest the pin second shot on 6, Rob Young – nearest the pin second shot on 11, Eddie Redfern – Hay Tyre & Battery long drive on the 15.

Next Saturday is a single Stableford event.
