At the recent GrainCorp awards, Nhill’s Ellie Murden was named Victoria’s Employee of the Year. GrainCorp praised Ellie for her outstanding performance as Site Manager, noting her dedication and ability to consistently exceed expectations.
Since stepping into her role, Ellie has led her team to achieve exceptional results, embodying the values of the company and setting a high standard for her peers. Last harvest, Ellie helped the Nhill site break multiple records, including processing 19,000 tonnes in a single day.
Ellie expressed her gratitude for the recognition: “Winning Employee of the Year at GrainCorp is an honour I never expected. It motivates me to keep striving in my role. I love working at GrainCorp because of the positive impact we have on the agricultural supply chain, and the opportunities for continuous learning and growth.”
Reflecting on her journey, Ellie shared, “Starting as a casual employee and becoming a manager at 21 came down to a strong work ethic, taking the initiative, and building solid relationships within the team. Having great mentors was also crucial to my development.”
