South Burnett Regional Council, Media Release, 11 June 2024

South Burnett Regional Council is pleased to announce the latest upgrades to the Coolabunia Saleyards.

Funded by Council’s capital works program, ten new catwalks have been renewed, with the replacement of some original catwalks that were built back in 1982. The work was undertaken by local businesses.

The newly completed project, in addition to the previously finished steel yards section, will enhance the safety of the yards for cattle, workers and the public.

Mayor Kathy Duff said, “Council is committed to the continual upgrade of this wonderful facility”.
