Starting the year

What a great way to start the year; Active, healthy, singing, a good feed and cooling off in the pool. Nancy Bates came to run some singing workshops at the Drop in. Kids sang some of Nancy’s own songs and some of their favourites. Aimee Volkovsky supported the music. It was a very sporty pool party at the end of the first long weekend of the year.

Giant egg and spoon races, volley ball, cricket and lots of splashing around. Wilcannia youth group, Regional NSW, Maari Ma’s Strong Young Families program, Wilcannia Central School, Central Darling Shire and Outback Theatre for Young People supported the event.

The biggest mob turned up to cheer on the kids songs and enjoy seeing all the babies out and about.

Wings drop in centre holiday program was full of fun, colour and creativity. Circus workshops by Outback Theatre for Young People, Singing workshops with Nancy Bates, crafts and lots of swimming and games at the pool.
