Big Blue Picnic – part of Mental Health Month

Recent stories

The Zack Lockes Flock will be hosting a Big Blue Picnic as a mental health month activity next month in the grounds of St Mark’s Church Warwick. The Big Blue Picnic is a fundraiser for Beyond Blue and will incorporate the official opening of St Mark’s Blue Garden.

This special project by St Mark’s aims to offer a beautiful, relaxing blue community space of peace, reflection and remembrance and to provide a safe and beautiful area where friendship and hope can flourish within our community.

Monies raised on the day will go towards a very special sculpture to be included in the Blue Garden. This sculpture, once completed, will feature brightly coloured leaves, which can be purchased by donation by community members to be etched and placed on the tree in remembrance of loved ones who have died by suicide.

The Big Blue picnic will commence at 12.30 on Sunday October 8 with beautiful, easy-listening music up until the official opening, then followed by a wide variety of music from jazz to folk and musical theatre.

Take along your blankets or chairs with your own picnic basket and favourite drink or pre-order a ready prepared picnic box.

Picnic spots can be secured by a donation of $10 (or more if you wish).

Donations of $50 or more will secure you half a dozen homemade cupcakes to enjoy. And for those wishing to donate $100 or more Zack Lockes Flock will set up an amazing picnic space as well – all you have to do is BYO picnic basket and drinks!

To find out more or to book a picnic spot go to Zack Lockes Flock Beyond Blue Big Blue Table finding host Zack Lockes Flock on facebook. You can also pay on the day.
