Dancer turns it on at top level

Recent stories

On the weekend, Sarah Jarvis was awarded first place in the 17 Years Open Reserve Graceful Calisthenics Solo competition at George Jenkins Theatre in Frankston.

It was a meritorious win as she competed against dancers from all around Victoria.

Earlier this year, Sarah competed in two other metropolitan solo competitions, placing second and fifth.

She has two more competitions to go, one of which is the Calisthenics Victoria State Titles.

Last year, Sarah competed in three solo competitions where she achieved two firsts and a fourth.

Calisthenics is a form of strength training consisting of a variety of movements and participants have to perform a set of exercises in competition.

Sarah trains with Murray River Calisthenics Club and competes in both solo and team competions.

Sarah is mentored by Wendy Boland and her team of assistant coaches.
