Kaniva’s Doyle’s IGA supermarket was recently crowned community award of the year at the IGA retail Excellence Awards held at the Crown Casino in Melbourne.
Doyle’s IGA was nominated in three categories, small format Meat Department of the year, small format Grocery Department of the year and the Community Award.
Owners and staff Lachie and Nikki Doyle, Kimberly Pearson and Eljay Maddern attended the awards.
Nikki said, “We were beyond excited to win the community award and were honoured to accept this award on behalf of our staff and community. We love our community and are proud to be a part of the Kaniva community, so to be recognised amongst our peers was very humbling.
“Without the support of our community, we would not be able to give back, so we would like to thank all of our customers for their continuing support.”
Jeff said that the Victorian IGA Awards of Excellence acknowledge the hard work, excellence and commitment to their local communities that Victorian IGA stores have demonstrated throughout the year.
“Lachie, Nicole and the entire team at Doyle’s IGA Kaniva go over and above to do whatever they can to support their local community. They are big believers that owning a local business comes with the responsibility of supporting their local community and really do whatever they can to give back – whether that’s sponsoring every sporting code in town, funding the local Men’s Shed, CFA and SES or chipping in wherever they are needed. This award is testament to their passion and commitment they have in supporting the community that supports them. Congratulations to the entire team, this award is truly well-deserved.”
The award ceremony was hosted by former swim star Giaan Rooney.
Congratulations! Well done!
