The South Australian Territory Minister for Veteran’s Affairs Kaul Pirby was recently in town and visited the local RSL.
Unfortunately on his social media page, Mr Pirby was confused to where he was in fact visiting.
Residents were confused too and some angered, to the fact Mr Pirby referred to our town, below the Berrimah Line, as Tennant Springs.
The Tennant Times was inundated with emails and messages, angry yet again the Darwin politicians seem to forget about the poor ‘Creek.
One resident said all politicians should know all the towns in the Territory if you are a politician.
“It just goes to show how much attention they pay to Tennant Creek and the zero care factor they give to our town,” she said.
Mr Pirby’s media team may want to check their pages before they visit Alice Creek.
The post has since been corrected.
