We are open!
What a journey it’s been up until the point we poured our first beer four weeks ago! As with many great things on this island, it all started with a simple idea. We wanted to brew fresh beer and a create a great place to enjoy it in. What followed was an intense and rewarding 5 years journey to create one of the most remote micro- breweries in the world amongst a beautiful and fragile ecosystem all throughout a pandemic!
This truly is a community brewery. Without the support of local legends, from forklift drivers to builders and everyone that lent copper fitting or wires in times of need, we would not have a place to wet our whistles in the sunshine. Seeing the LHI community come down to the Nursery to show their interest and support has been a joy and has been the ultimate reward.
On behalf of Alastair, Lou, Georgina, Nelly, Ruby, Cecile, Chuck, Rob, Timmy and Mike we would like to thank everyone for your support. This is just the beginning! We are already busy planning great events, food offerings and seasonal beers to ensure this island and its visitors have another great spot to let their hair down.
If you haven’t visited us yet or want to point guests in our direction, we are open from Thursday to Saturday (1 – 8pm) and always have something in the smoker for a substantial snack! We are open rain hail or shine and encourage you to come sit at the bar, get cosy and have a chat if the weather looks ominous.
