Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers 2023 program
After smashing records last year with attendance figures increasing an astonishing 28 per cent to 364,775 and generating $22.61 million in direct and incremental spending in Queensland, the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers will this year bloom across all of September, with Toowoomba Region Mayor Paul Antonio launching the 2023 program at long-time Exhibition Garden host, Val Peachey’s garden.

Outback celebrations for new King
While thousands of people across the UK are expected to gather around large screens in bustling city locations to celebrate the Coronation of his Majesty King Charles III and Queen Camilla, in the Queensland Outback Quilpie locals will celebrate in true Aussie style with a large scale bonfire that will be coloured a Royal red for the occasion and fireworks lighting up the crisp Autumn night at Baldy Top look out.
Landscape exhibition comes to St. Arnaud
Russell Halden's work is influenced by the environment, having spent a great deal of time in the Bamah Forest with his father and brother, camping, fishing and hunting, acquiring a life-long love of the Australian bush, the colours, foliage types, difference with the seasons and weather conditions ... With many family connections in the region, including his brother currently living in St. Arnaud, and their great grandmother once residing at Beasley's Bridge, this exhibition is a homecoming of sorts.

Planning is underway for the nation’s largest gathering of harnessed draught animals, The Good Old Days Festival, at Barellan in southern NSW on September 30-October 1, 2023. The committee is putting together a full program of authentic heritage events ... Barellan Working Clydesdale Committee member Bruce Bandy, and Aleks Berzins, of Exeter, will drive a team of over 20 heavy horses pulling a wool wagon around the arena.

Rally of the Heartlands driver gives back to the Burra community
