Nhill feels like home for new post office owners

Nhill’s Licensed Post Office is welcoming customers under new ownership, offering a broad range of postal, travel and retail services for the local community.

Along with everyday post office services, the Nhill Licensed Post Office provides passport lodgements and photos, foreign exchange, travel cards, travel insurance and complete travel solutions, as well as TattsLotto services. The business also works with local organisations to provide staff gift solutions, including workplace syndicates and customised gift packs.

In-store, customers will find a growing retail selection that includes premium gift lines such as candles, reed diffusers and Parker pens, along with an expanding stationery range. The post office also supplies genuine ink cartridges, with most items available within one to two business days. A book range is also being developed, featuring titles including Born in a Book and Remember It, alongside other inspirational reads.

The store also stocks mobile phones across a range of makes and models, JBL speaker products, and mobile accessories.

The owners migrated from India in 2008 and say Australia has become home. After living in Melbourne and Sydney, the family has now settled in Nhill. The business is run by a family team of four – the owner, his wife Hetal, their daughter Misha and nephew Yash – who work together guided by the philosophy “do good, come back good”.

They have thanked the Nhill community and surrounding towns for the warm welcome and ongoing support.

“The strong local connections truly make Nhill feel like home,” the owners said. “We sincerely thank each and every member of the community for their continued support, especially during challenging economic times when many small businesses are doing it tough.”

The owners said they are proud to contribute to keeping essential services and quality retail options available locally, and they look forward to continuing to serve the community.
