Lawloit annual bush concert

Recent stories

Last Sunday saw the sleepy hollow of Lawloit come alive to the sounds of music and laughter at the annual bush concert.

Jason alias Chipper Gordon was MC for the afternoon setting the scene for a lot of fun.

The Lawloit Youngin’s entertained the crowd with their singing and dancing abilities. Their great acting skills were portrayed in the skits Clean socks and I just want a glass of water.

This group of enthusiastic young ones are a real asset to the concert cast and their willingness to have a go is something to behold.

The Accordian band was on hand to entertain and had the crowd singing and tapping. Vocally Lesleigh Edwards, Bonnie Gordon, Trinity Rethus and Janeth Rebaris delighted all with their musical voices.

Zara Rethus recited The Man from Snowy River assisted by Esther Alexander and Savannah Hedt, while the Lawloit Youngin’s acted the poem on their trusty steeds.

The audience gained insight into the mongrel magpies on the golf course and the Christmas Fairy, and I fear those couple of swaggies are still mighty hungry.

The Lawloit Hall Committee would like to thank the cast and audience for their attendance at our annual Bush Concert and welcome you all back next year for more fun and laughter.
