Fact: At least twice a day a RFDS crew will land in the Limestone Coast to airlift a patient.
Fact: Today, the RFDS deliver more than 380,000 episodes of care across Australia every year – equivalent to assisting someone every two minutes.
The Foster Street Garden Party was an absolute triumph – a collective effort that raised $21,830. These vital funds will help keep the RFDS flying.
From afternoon until after dark, no details were overlooked.
The talented band (Dennis Edwards & Richard Tippins) on time, in time & on target with upbeat harmonies.
Peter Goers; always a highlight – we never tire of your satirical, cutting edge humour. Dr Brian Norcock & Dr Sam Owen – full of enlightening inside stores of RFDS experiences.
The gate keepers, not letting anyone pass without buying a raffle ticket.
Phillipa Schinckel and Gemma Borg, ably assisted by your little helpers, Hattie, Rosie, Sophia & Alice providing such salivacious sweet delights.
Grandma Pat with her highly bidded honey sponge roll and quote from Peter Goers, “the best pasties I’ve ever had”!
Harrison Andrews kept the barbeque fired and the sausages sizzling while the “Roll” girls kept up the demand for “sliders” filled with meat donated and superbly cooked by Max Williams.
Chicks & Chaps on the bar kept everyone well charged & hydrated. Digby Schinckel not letting a chance go by, extracting top dollar for all auction items.
Events such as this do not run on their own, or succeed without hard work, sponsors, helpers on the day and most importantly you, the generous community that supported Robyn & Simon Schinckel’s garden party – a fundraiser for the RFDS.
K & B Mitre 10, Caledonian Hotel, Janet Ottoson, Naracoorte Hotel, Naracoorte Refrigeration, Brett & Tanya Wilson, David & Carolyn Brown (Padthaway Estate), Mott Finnis, Sir Loin Butchers, Tender Cut Butchers, Hutchisons Nursery, Moss Plumbing, Bridget Johnson Ceramics, Ampol Service Station, Naracoorte News, Clear Water Tanks, the Tiling Tarts, Ottelia Wines, auction purchasers & all the afore mentioned, RFDS would not be receiving $21,830 if you hadn’t all been so gracious and generous in your support.
Congratulations and thank you.
