August 21st, 24th and 25th

On Wednesday, August 21st, the ladies gathered to participate in the Sanders Foursomes Championship, which was generously sponsored by the Sanders Family.

Congratulations to Club President Kate Hood and Ladies Captain Donna Vivian teaming up to take out the honours in A Grade. Maree van Kempen and Bet Merrett were the victors in B Grade. NTP’s No 4: (Meyer Bulk and Livestock) Pam and Glennis, No 8: (Nutrien) Donna and Kate, No 11: (Dodson’s Electrical, Timber and H’ware) Fleur and Dawn, No 14: (Hicks Haulage) Kate and Donna, No 17: (Ahrens Agri) Donna and Kate. Money Hole: Dawn and Fleur, Longest Putt: Pam.

The Men’s A Grade went to Braden Clark and Jack Bone with Zac Vivian and Jake O’Connor taking out the B Grade on the previous Saturday.

A great deal of time has been put in by the grounds and executive committee in preparation for hosting our 27 Hole Open Ambrose Event scheduled for Saturday 24th August, kindly sponsored by Brandt Dealership at Bordertown. With great prizes up for grabs and great weather arranged especially for the day, our entries were also great.

Congratulations to our Men’s Gross Winners: D. Ansell, B. Cordes, S. Reading, J. Tucker on c/b from Peter Johnson, Eddy Cairnduff, Sam Barras and Mark Pilgrim. Men’s Nett Winners: M. Crouch, S. Salt, B. Hawker and T. Hawker. Men’s Nett R/Up: G. Ahilaras, Matt Schnieder, Bob Muenster, Ethan Richards, and Men’s Nett 3rd: Tim and Joel Wagg and Tyson and Lucas Mattschoss.

Ladies Winners: Kate Hood, Janine Rohrlach (Bordertown), and Maddie Summers. R/Up: Bink Barras, Di Obst, and Morgan Cameron {Bordertown). NTPs No 2: Peter Johnson, No 4: Peter Barras, Rachel Ansell, No 8: Chris Meyer, Rachel Ansell, No 11: Bill Crouch, Bink Barras, No 14: Gerry O’Flaherty, Kate Hood, No 17: Michael Hodges, Di Obst. Longest Drive: Sam Barras, Morgan Cameron, Straightest Drive: Scott Reading, Bink Barras.

Following on the Sunday was our annual Mixed Pinehurst event. Eighteen golfers participated in windy conditions. Unfortunately there were no junior entries this year for our ‘Bud’ Herdman Memorial Junior 9 Hole Stableford Competition.

Congratulations to our winners, Andrew and Kate Hood with 73 1/8 nett, and Runners up Danny and Rachel Ansell with 74 1/8 nett. Nearest the pins went to No 4: sponsored by Meyer Bulk Haulage, –, –, No 8: sponsored by Nutrien, Danny and Rachel Ansell, No 11: sponsored by Dodson Home Hardware, Rachel and Danny Ansell, No 14: sponsored by Geoff Vivian, Alex Richardson, and No 17: sponsored by Ahern’s Agri, Zac Vivian, Rachel Ansell.
